can anyone tell me what color Austrian and French Gun carriages would be, would the limbers be the same color ?

Hertsblue

René Chartrand's Osprey title Louis XIV's Army states that French gun-carriages were red with black ironwork. C.S. Grant in his From Pike to Shot 1685 to 1720 says that one source gives the colour as red whilst another gives it as blue. Mine are dark red.

I can find no reference for the Austrian artillery but I would suggest that yellow ochre with black strapping, which is what the Hapsburg Empire used right up until the late eighteen hundreds, would not be too far adrift.
