Love the fact the Dragon is Based on the monsters they knew, so it's a chuffing ENORMOUS crocodile!

The original George was perhaps North African. The 'dragon' get less crocodile-like the further away from Africa and latter in time.

In a church in Venice is the best St George and the dragon of all, almost contemporary as well.
