Absolutely, Nosher!  In fact, I think it would be fair to say that Caliver's marketing team is earning its keep at present, as the book is actually published by Ken Trotman Books, and will also be available from them, both by mail order and at their stand at SALUTE.   Richard Brown, who runs KT, has been a joy to work with/for, and both John and I are really grateful to him for giving us the chance of getting a book on this subject published, and in such an iconic series (Charles Grant for all love :o :o !).  It don't get better than that.
:D :D :D

PS   I think in the USA it will be available through OMM.

Congratulations gentlemen on getting the book published.

It is No.1 on my Salute shopping list and I have already emailed Richard Brown asking him to reserve a copy.

I also look forward to discussing the game with you. Sadly I was unable to go on the battlefield tour last year (hopefully it will be run again sometime?) but this will be the next best thing. I am fully expecting the day to regenerate painting of my 10mm 1866 hordes!!

Cheers Andy Robinson

Andy,

Look forward to seeing you at  SALUTE, and thanks for the congrats. I still cannot really believe it myself.   I cannot speak for John, but I understand that the tour may get another outing next year. I certainly have every intention of going back myself, once I get my retirement out of the way in the summer.   Get painting those hordes!  :D

As Mollinary says, there is a repeat performance of the 1866 Tour in Bohemia ready to launch in 2014, provided everyone can agree a date. Mollinary and I have learned a lot more about the Swiepwald in particular since last year so we will want to look at that in even more excruciating detail.
I have just returned from a self-guided tour of the 1859 Italian Battlefields and can feel a tour and some games of that campaign coming on in due course. Custoza 1866 is of course a stone's throw from Solferino and is another gem of a battlefield, with much of the terrain almost as it was in 1866. Although Solferino and Custoza are less than 6 miles from the over-commercialised south shore of Lake Garda, the bucket and spade crowds do not venture into the battlefield areas.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at Salute,
Holdfast
