The number of aircraft alone is impressive as is your historical breadth.

Thank you. Very kind as always.

In 1:600, I worked on a squadron basis. For Battle of Britain, I have a squadron (12)  of Spitfire, one of Hurricanes, Battles and Defiants, and a bomber squadron of Whitleys and Hampdens.

For the Pacific, I did a full aircraft carrier's compliment. the 1941 Akagi has 30 Zero, 16 Val and 24 Kate.

Then there's the Battle of Germany with squadrons of Lancasters, Halifaxes and Stirlings, Liberators and Flying Fortresses.

Chuck in French, Italian, 1944 Pacific, Japanese Army, Rabaul, etc, etc and that makes quite a few tiny planes.

Like I say, I don't have a social life and no other outlets.

I need to unsubscribe from Helion notifications. They have such niche, yet interesting subjects ...

Obsessively residing within the nicheous of niches, Helion still manages to satisfy my cravings once or twice a month. The shipping cost to the States adds about 30% to the cost, yet I have not the will to unsubscribe.

On a different note: I was mightily impressed, fsn, with your having the complete air wing of the IJN Akagi in 1941. I imagine myself setting up various card stock drawings of deck areas, ammo, fuel, and parts storage, machine shops and repair facilities. Cards for CAP, Reece, and attack as well as dozens of other status boards. I would then endlessly manage things. No need for a A/C model or even an opposition force. Ithoriel told me that such a game once existed but I have not found it yet (although I have had little time to look).

Should you be interested, I would gladly trade hundreds and hundreds of unpainted Pendraken figures for your air wing. Time is short, darkness approaches.

I respect you too much to take up that offer. I've got the Taiho in 1944 to paint ... as well as a corresponding US carrier.

First time pogoing and in a mosh for 30 years.
My calves are already hinting on the pain they will be bringing in the morning.
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Maybe I should have mentioned that the figures I had in mind are 1870 French, Prussian, and Bavarian? Thanks for your respect, however.  :)

I still haven't found the carrier operations game.
