Hello Setsugen

Going from previous posts, I don't think that many more aircraft will be finding their way into Pendraken's ranges soon  :(.

Other options are available, some metal kits are available now from US manufacturers (unfortunately shipping charges to Australia horrendous) and a start up company for making plastic tank kits for SCW/Interwar has also been tempted with aircraft (http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=271804).

Another option is through Shapeways where some Interwar aircraft are now becoming available (unfortunately the shipping charges to Australia are horrendous  :( )

Hi, you have a nice model from fellow Australian, http://petersplanes.com/avions/dornier17P/dornier17P.htm, it is a model that I have to use to complete my scw dioramas.
Any question, feel free to ask. Best regards from Portugal.

thanks a lot for the information.

You can get most SCW Soviet types, including I-15, I-16, R-5 and SB-2, as well as Italian and German types, in 1:144 white metal kits from Reviresco here:

http://www.tin-soldier.com/cgi-bin/ustorekeeper.pl

Click on 'Select Category' then 'Aircraft Kits'.  They start at about 8$US.  The bloke who runs is very helpful, an expat Scot as I remember and 'flash to bang' is pretty good - three to four weeks or thereabouts, dependng on how long it takes to clear customs.

Of course, the 'Facists' at HMRC will add VAT and the Royal Mail will also want to 'dip their beaks' for the privilege of collecting it - I think it was £10 the last time, so it doesn't make economic sense placing an order for just a couple of models.

The kits need filler, such as Miliput, to achieve a good finish and the biplanes can be a bit of a challenge to assemble - the struts etc are best replaced with brass rod.  The end results as good and these are types that are, AFAIK, not available elsewhere.

Hope this helps.

Hurrah

I see that they have 1/200th Gladiators, so possibly showing up in 1/144

I'll echo the good review of Reviresco. He does give excellent and speedy service.
