We were on the road again this weekend, for the Wappinshaw show up in Glasgow.  This one moved venue last year, and was a pretty quiet affair, so we were a little nervous as to what the day would hold.  We arrived a little early, but a friendly biscuit delivery driver let us into the gated unload area.  A couple of other traders arrived shortly after, but when I let them through the gate, I was given a stern telling off by some invisible voice via a loudspeaker on the wall...  :-\ :-[

Once the doors were opened to the hall, there were a huge number of club members around helping all the traders unload, which is always a huge help, so thanks to them for that.  They even stuck around after the show closed to help us all pack away again!

When the show opened it was actually very busy, and trade was brisk all day long.  One of the organisers popped by through the afternoon and said that numbers through the door were up 50% on the previous year, which was excellent.  There were also some mentions of expanding to a bigger hall for next year, which could be a good move as well, giving more space for games and to allow the traders a little more space (it was a little cramped!).

So thanks to the Phoenic Club for putting on the show, we hope to see you again next year!

I managed to get pics of most of the games, but there were a couple I missed (and one which the pic didn't come out too well!).  There are some other pics on the Wappinshaw blog as well: http://wappinshaw.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/thanks-and-pictures-from-wappinshaw.html

Not sure myself, we've got a couple of Forum members in the SESCW, so they may know.  I've heard the rules mentioned quite a bit recently, and there's been a slight increase in F&I War orders.

No.  They were playing Black Powder.

But a few of us at SESWC are playing Muskets & Tomahawks at club nights and we're really enjoying it.
