The top image is correct for the 4.5" BL Gun introduced in the 1930s.  It shared the same carriage as the 5.5" - and the same "horns"- so is often confused with it. The BL 4.5 medium gun fired a 24.9 kg shell at a MZ of 685 m/sec with a max range of 18,745 meters

The second and third images are both of the 4.5 QF howitzer introduced as early as 1904.  It fired a 15.9kg shell at a MZ of 655m/sec with a max range of 9150

Both pieces of ordnance have a role in VBCW.

VBCW is a 'fantasy' counterfactual period so it depends on the gamer how late he wants to play.   I have seen  'post 1919 Revolution' to late 1930s abdication crisis - 1940s being played.

The later games allow more WW2 stuff to be used which suits gamers who have these forces.   Nick even games a modern version using NATO troops
