Hello to all,

I have many figures Pendraken and I have make quite a lot of order (sometimes more 100£, 200£, 300£ in spite of no discount is proposed and in spite of postage). But before the new website and the forum I have my order in a week or two.

But now it was very slow. Is there a link of cause with effect? ;)

In february and march I made two orders but at the end of month I still had nothing. I contact the Pendraken team and  it told that it is because of Salute. Ok it's possible. ???
In June (8th) I made a new order and after three weeks I ask if my order was send to me. The answer is no because there are many show again.

Today I still have nothing (but my order is marked : completed).

So my question is very easy : when do I have send an order to Pendraken to have my figures quickly ?  :'(

There is a month when there are fewer shows ? :-\

Yes, I love the pendraken miniatures and I try to support in France this scale and this manufacturer; yes I will continue to buy some new figures (Clibinarium will kill me); but I am a little desappointed about the delays now.

I am alone ? It's because I am french ?  :P

Easy - wait a week before a show put an order in, then get a friend to collect from the show and post to you - no more 3-4 weeks or more waiting for the second class non show goers  ;)  :)

May I point out that the reason you are not getting a discount is Dave works at a very small profit margin - there just isn't the money to make a discount on.  The only way for him to make a worthwhile discount is to make a loss.

Oh yeah. And your French  ;) :d
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Apologies for the delays you've had, we do try our best to get the orders out as quickly as possible, but sometimes we do get caught up with shows, or trade orders, or other things which slow us down.  The new website and Forum last year certainly helped increase sales, which as a result meant that it can take longer to ship at times.  Both me and Dave work long hours (yesterday I started at midday and finished at 3am, today will be the same), and Gandalf is now doing 3 days a week as well to help get the orders out quicker.

Looking at your order history, it looks like it has been bad luck with timing.

The first order placed on 3rd October is when we have 5 shows in 6 weekends, one of those being a 4 day trip over to Belgium, so that really slows us down.  That one was sent on 21st Oct, so 18 days to ship.  The second, placed on 2nd February, was just after the price/VAT increase, so we'd had an extra 50% orders at the end of January as people avoided the new prices, so that killed us again.  That one was posted on the 28th, so 26 days, which isn't very good.  The most recent one, from the 8th June, caught us in another busy show period, with 4 shows in 5 weekends, and didn't go until the 28th, so 20 days on that.  With this last one, I'd have thought it would be with you by now, but there's not much we can do once it's in the hands of the postal service.

Generally, May/June and Oct/Nov are bad times to place orders, as we have so much going on at those times that we always slip behind on the orders.  Even now, over two weeks after the last show, we're still a bit behind, shipping in around 14 days.

Apologies for the long post, I just wanted folk to know that we're not just sitting around, or taking days off whenever we feel like it, we really do work all the time, 7 days a week most weeks.  Getting your orders out to you quicker is one of the main things we want to do at the moment, but achieving it is proving tricky.

Joking aside Leon, you do state delivery can be up to 21 days. I have made a few orders over this recent show period and every one has arrived within that time frame. So no complaints from me, though picking all my toys up at Bovington would have been cool - bloody northerners  ;)

Me?  5 minutes of Wii Play with the 7 year old the other day...!   :D

Dave's not played for about 18 months now.  He usually pops down to his mates house for a game around Xmas, but he was too busy last year.  He's actually got a full 8x12's worth (?) of custom made tiles in the loft which were done by Keith Warren at Realistic, but he's never been able to use them!

Thank you Leon for these explanations and thank you for not saying, contrary to the others, that it is because you hates the Frogies.  ;)

I suspect that you work hard and my question was a question of strategy to place my next orders.  :D

Dave was invited to come play our Arnhem game in May but decided to go down to Cornwal instead so no excuses there young Leon!!
I do try to order so i can pick stuff up at shows but have only once had half a delivery take a little long (was down to our lovely chaps at Royal Mail deciding that they did not want to fly it form the north to the south) but that was well within the time frame I was expecting it was also a rather large order roughly 3000 troops.
I will be ordering again ready to pick up at Colours in Newbury in a couple of weeks just got to decide how many more Russian troops I can justify!!!

Oh forgot to mention myself and the Penarth lot are resposible for some of the delays as we tend to order too much stuff in one go.

Unfortunately not a holiday though, he drove down Friday, came back Sunday!  It was a shame, as a weekend gaming would have been much more enjoyable.
