Dave says the later Danes in the frock coats.

For 1866 Sardinians, I would have thought the Austrians in greatcoat would do at a pinch. I thought the Danes wore a kepi rather than a shako.

Lord Kermit of Birkenhead

Source I have says the same - Dark blue Kepi and jacket, Lt Blue trouers, in Frock coat, ACW US regulars ?

Howdy IanS,  ACW US regulars for the Sardinians?

Chad

No. Austrian 1866. They wore a shako not a kepi. The new French Imperial Voltigeurs could probably be used as well.
