Context:
Eldest daughter's birthday is Boxing Day
Eldest daughter is doing animation at Uni (from home)
Mad Lemmey is a wargamer who can sculpt/conert models.

Well, that was an exciting half hour; box addressed to eldest daughter arrives, no sender info. The Amazing Mrs Lemmey opened it (in case it was birthday/xmas pressie) and it contains Milliputt and SERIOUS sculpting equipment.

Immediately she assumes it is from my parents to me,  via the Eldest, as it's modelling stuff and random. I say no, it's not the milliputt I use, and on closer inspection, there are serious posable armatures in the box. The armature is a metal, fully possable one about 6" high, with seperate hands. I message my parent/s (separated, but both capable of this insanity) as it's the sort of random thing they would send her/me out the blue for Xmas. Both deny it.

Give box to eldest to see if she can identify it, who at first laughs at me for 'spoiling her Xmas surprise' from her grandparents. Then I ask her about the armature and whether it is for animation, and she says 'Suppose so, I am doing stop motion next term"!!!
Well, she hadn't told us...  #-o

Her uni sent it her! Without telling her. Nor did they ask her to pay for it.

If we had wrapped that and put it under the tree, either for her or me, it would have confused everyone and she might not have had it for her course!  =O  =O  =O

The confusion of haing a wargamer and animator in one househi=old, bet that doesn't happen often!
