Fought the 1622 battle of Fleurus twice yesterday with different commanders.
10mm scale : a mix of Pendraken, Newline, Lancer and Irregular figures.
Rules were Twilight of Divine Right.
Write up for the first battle is here.
Second round to follow later.

Excellent site and great looking battle.   =D>

A very enjoyable AAR, lucidly explained and illustrated. I look forward to round two to find out if the Spanish can actually achieve a historic result.

Good stuff Keraunos, thanks for posting your two battle reports.

I like how you have based your tercios, they look impressively large  :-bd

Thanks very much.  I am having fun with them and a new order from Pendraken has just arrived that will allow me to do some early Spanish Tercios with Arquebusiers and Rodoleros as well as Pikes and Muskets  :)

Very good stuff. I painted up TYW armies specifically for the battle of Fleurus and based for Helion's In Deo Veritas although I imagine I could use them for Liber Militum'd Tercios or other sets. Although they are painted up, I have yet to game with them.

Very interesting to see how Divine Right handles the battle. From what I recall, in the actual battle the Protestants were near mutiny (the cavalry specifically) and the Spanish baggage train came into play because some of the Protestant cavalry got blocked by it.

I need to get my armies on the tabletop. Tha is for the inspiration!
