Why cant I get my avatar back.

Says it all really.

My avatar keeps disappearing....And when I put it back in 'My profile'...The right title comes up, but the little box above doesn't show the piccy....Just the icon that should now appear instead of my avatar.

Gat the same result with whatever pic I try and put in.

Dr Dave's pic has gone as well.

My first thought would be either the size of the piccy or the format. Have you tried different picture types (.png, .jpeg etc?)

Lastly, it's not an adult content or good taste filter is it?

And after about a dozen goes doing exactly the same thing...I appear to have got it back.

Like I said above, the correct title of the pic, was being shown.....without the image....Just the funny little gray box.
If I again hit 'change profile' at the bottom of the screen, the refreshed page kept coming back with 'No image chosen'....Or words to that effect.

Very odd.

(And I forgot to take out the apostrophe in the title of this thread, to start with...So I got 'Hacking attempt'...And that made me forget to put the question mark at the end.)

Yup. You're back ... with you're Sauron's Eye or whatever it is.

It's  a photo of the sun, taken through the bottom of my old, blue plastic coffee mug, Nobby.

I'll try and change it to something else...Then change it back to the 'eye' later...Just to see if it disappears again.

I'm mixing so much putty, at the mo', I need something to keep me amused while I do that.

I tried changing it....then putting it back to the original pic , and it doesn't want to play, again.

Nope.

The best I managed was to get a pic from the menu at the top of the page.(Actors and Musicians.)

Then it took me a good few goes to get rid of the pic of Bruce Willis. 

Final go...then I'm giving up. for a while.

Whether it made any difference at all......I 'seem' to have got it back by changing something else on 'my profile', first*....THEN trying to get the pic back.
Seems to be happy now.
