Thanks for posting this Peter. Amazing bit of work. I know only the movie and looked at a map for the first time just now. I now see that the axis of advance was south to north (I had thought it was west to east). Seeing the model (even with the distance compression) shows how difficult and complex the mission was, even had there been minimal resistance.

I am very unclear on the objective. crossing the Rhine delta I get (I think) but was the primary goal to seal off Rotterdam and Amsterdam?
Was the ultimate goal to turn the German Northern flank (limited terrain obstacles and support by sea)?
