I've just been looking through our catalogue, and was wondering whether there had ever been a point where there wasn't a war taking place somewhere in the world?  And without getting too bogged down in political stuff, will it ever happen, or will there always be minor conflicts going on?

Brilliant, thanks Nik.

I'm not normally into US comedies, but this one does make me chuckle. Shatner & Caine are brilliant, and there's plenty of good quotes in it to.

Depends what you mean by 'war' i suppose.

There has been 'inter-community conflict/violence' as long as there have been humans.  There has never been a point in human history where there hasn't been such conflict taking place.

As to wether it will ever happen in the future?  I can't see it.  'Its in our nature to destroy ourselves', to misquote the movies; but additionally the world is set up to guarantee conflict at the moment...all that 'Military-industrial complex' stuff (check out Bob Dylan's 'Masters of War'
)...
