Good to see the team yesterday, Austrian bandsmen casting this week, woo hoo!
Don't buy your daughters a pony, buy them heroin instead, its cheaper and ultimately less addictive.

Despite being chained to my charity stall most of the day I did manage to slip a few quid in Daves and Leons direction.

From Pendraken I picked up a couple of mammoths plus some barbarians to act as mammoth hunters. Hadn't realised the mammoth without howdah still had the weird planks and rope bits so some work with snips, dremmel and green stuff required but shouldn't be too much hassle. I also picked up a Polish staff car to use for one of my BKC Soviet officers. The FPW (?) small stacks of wood will become lumber for my 6mm Sumerian trader ships and for a dockside made in part from the discounted pack of mdf I got.

Colonel Bill's had some 6mm Baccus Egyptians who will provide some slightly ahistorical opposition for the Sumerians once they've been time-shifted from the New Kingdom to the Old. I know, I know the pom-poms are the wrong shape the turnbacks are too deep and the 15th Regiment, Anubis' Own Fusileers were still wearing the kepi at that time but needs must ... ;)

Acquired some resin scenery from Ainsty castings - 28mm scale tombstones who's tops are about to become 6mm scale obelisks.

Couple of Wargames Illustrated magazines to read on the hour long bus journey home.

Final purchase was a set of 3 second hand 6mm scale middle eastern houses.

There were some spectacular games. For sheer subversion of the rules ethos the 54mm scale DBA on a 6' x 4' table took the biscuit for me though there were many other beautiful set-ups.

I'm just about over the frustration of taking loads of photo's only to find them all shambled ... almost!  >:( :'( :'( :'(

GAMES TO ADMIRE AND INSPIRE

A few camera problems today but some shots of games from Carronade which demonstrate why this is a great show to visit." (My emphasis)

Well at least I wasn't the only one :)
