Told me mother about my impending immolation. Her comment, "make sure they put a bit of gunpowder around your neck, so you don't suffer too much."

How do you come to have a mother who knows things like that?

I think she was at some real burnings at the stake.  She says she saw Techno at Cranmer's burning, remembers because he nearly fell in the pyre.

Be fair.
That barrel of gunpowder was quite heavy....and I couldn't see where I was putting my feet.
Not surprising I nearly fell over.

Yeah, I couldn't get tickets
