Would 3D-pens be of any use for modelling masters for miniatures? From the descriptions and videos they seem to be sort of like a high-tech cross between a pen and a soldering iron, but for plastics rather than metal

From my experience in the industry, they would be too crude in terms of the detail they could achieve. Also a lot would depend upon the base material that they use to print with. Interesting concept though.

I actually thought this was a joke post; blimey, whatever next :o

Is it just me who feels old when they see the next "big thing?" :-\
