I am another who has gradually moved into Blog Land and rationalising the amount of web presence and info.  I just couldn''t find things I had written on the wiki approach

http://cag19.blogspot.co.uk/

Recent additions have nothing to do with 10mm however but do feature Minibits custom MDF service which i am mightly happy with.

We'll sort something out, no worries!  There was a bit of interest in the TMP thread, and I've had one chap interested in some 1.5" versions, but nothing solid just yet.

Follow Si's blog link, we lasered up some tiles with 2" hex's on, which he's painting up at the moment.

Yep looked at it Leon, those hexes, are they lasered into the surface, by that I mean are they deep enough to see through a layer of paint? Second question, could you do them with hexes 32mm across the flats, thats the size of a Battletech hex? Third question, take a look at this product, can you do a selection of shapes so that I could do a semi 3D board?

Ooops nearly forgot the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Battletech-Miniature-Wargame-HexPack-Mountains-and-Canyons-/310491788777?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D5063822557279792728%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D310491788777%26

The hex's are lasered in, so they should still be visible with a layer of paint.  We can increase the depth of the engraving if necessary.  We can cut them in any size you like, so 32mm is fine.  As for the 3D aspect, there's nothing that can be done on the laser itself, but you could glue extra individual 32mm hex's on top of the tiles to create height?

I think you missed the point or I didnt explain it very well, the hills/elevations should be loose so that they can be stacked on top of a board to give hills where you want them, its just that the few Battletechech maps in existance get a bit samey after a couple of games.

You'd have to knock something together on some 32mm Hex's, which you could then place on top of the board?  We could do a few different sized hex's, 32/30/28mm, which you could stack on top of one another?  Other than that, I'm not sure what to suggest.

10mm hasn't had a lot of love applied to it. However some new bases have just arrived which I am going to try something new for (or rather shamelessly plagiarise another gamers idea who had the original idea).

1/600th aircraft however have had some major effor expended
