Would it be possible to have some Chinese looking buildings to go with the Russo Japanese war figures?

Try aquarium shops. There's lots of junk with conversion potential.

Good shout. Don't know why I didn't think of that one... I already use aquarium plants for larger scale sci-fi and fantasy stuff. Will have a look

If that doesn't work, there used to be - and possibly still is - a vendor in a local market who sold or sells chromed resin pagoda paperweights. I might be able to find you one (see below. The walls are my own additions, as are the signs, which will get me into trouble if a real Chinese gamer ever turns up and can read them).
