Casting the same spell multiple times on the same unit

Is it possible to cast the same spell on the same unit multiple times? For example, can an Orc shaman give hill walkers, forest walkers and skirmish to the same unit by expending 6 MP to cast "Hunter's Tracks" thrice? Could a High Elf mage cast "Celestial Shield" two times, thus giving resolute (times two, but this seems redundant) and +2d6 of Protection to any friends within 3 BW?

There seems to be nothing in the rules limiting this, so I suppose it is "yes" to both?

Yes to both.   

Ability bonuses stack.  Special abilities apply only once per unit.   If you have the MP you can cast on the same target units multiple times.
