In reply to Leman yes it was used on the Vosges front. I knew I had a book about artillery there and in fact the mountain gun features on the cover, crewed by chasseurs Alpin. Now does Pendraken do a suitable crew, will look at SCW carlists etc. Now all I have to do is figure out how to post images here.

No artillery figures in beret that I can think of straight away.



Maybe fatigue dress types you could use ACW kepi types with an added beret, 1860s Canadian militia added beret or maybe SCW Regulars again with added beret:-


The two on the right are mortar crew, maybe useful for mountain guns.
