Welcome to the latest Pendraken newsletter!

We start this month by saying goodbye and good luck to two of our staff members as they move on to new jobs.  Ian had been part of our casting team for nearly 10 years, while Ashley had joined us in 2020 to look after all of our 2D laser products.  They're going to be missed at Pendraken HQ but we wish them all the best for the future.

Due to this, please allow a little longer for your orders to be processed while the rest of the team take on the increased workload.

New Website coming soon...

We mentioned this over the summer and our new website is almost ready to launch.  All of the products have been transferred over and we've worked hard to make sure that the new site looks as familiar as possible to the current one.

There are two things that we've not been able to bring over though, so please note:

Order History - We're not able to upload your order history, so if you like to keep records then please login to your website account and you should be able to download any previous orders.  We'll be doing the same here so we can always supply them if needed.

Secondary Addresses - It's not possible to bring over any extra addresses that you've added to your accounts, so we'll be transferring your preferred or latest addresses with your new accounts.  You can then login and add extra delivery addresses as and when they're needed.

The current plan is to go live on November 1st and everyone will receive a notification email once the site has been launched.  You'll need to create a new password at this point.

The big bonus is that this new site is fully IOSS compliant so all of our EU customers will be able to order as normal without any of those annoying customs fees!

FV432s released!

Moving on to some new releases, we'd planned to have these ready for release last month but they're here now, all 17 variants of them!  The FV432 is one of the most common AFVs used by the British army since its introduction in the 1960s.  The later Mk 3 variant is still in use today, most notably in Ukraine.

We've got several variants in both Mk 1 and Mk 2 options, including regular APC, mortar carrier, Wombat (recoilless rifle), command, engineer, Ranger (mine layer) and with the Peak turret.  We've also done the FV433 Abbot (105mm SPG), FV438 (Swingfire) and the FV436 (Radar), so more than enough to pack out your British army!

More info on these can be found on our Forum here: https://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,22708.0.html

SU-57 and AA7-7A1 released!

We've got another couple of quick releases next, with the SU-57 added to the WWII Soviet ranges and the AAV-7A1 added for the Modern gamers!

In 1942 the British requested a tank destroyer in the desert, so the US put a 57mm anti-tank gun onto an M3 halftrack chassis, classified as the T48.  By the time the vehicles were produced it was decided that the 57mm gun wasn't powerful enough to take out the upgraded German armour, so they were passed to the Soviets under the lend-lease scheme and renamed SU-57.  This was the only American or British vehicle to be used in combat solely by the Soviets.

Jumping forward 40 years, in 1982 a group of LVTP-7s were converted to AAV-7A1 with a variety of internal improvements, as well as grenade launchers, new headlight clusters, and then applique armour in 1989.  This model is the later upgraded version of the regular LVTP-7 that we've got in our Falklands Argentinian range.

New Sci-Fi ranges previewed!

We've mentioned the Sci-Fi revamp a few times and we've finally got some photos of the new infantry sculpts!  We've also got some tank commanders and tank riders to go with these too.

All of the vehicles and support weapons have been designed digitally and we'll have some photos of the 3D prints for you next week.  These first 6 ranges should then be moulded and ready to release before the end of the year.

Head over and take a look at all of the upcoming factions here: https://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,22710.0.html

Army Builder launch incoming!

As well as our new website we'll also be launching the new Army Builder software in the next couple of weeks!  The final tweaks are being made this week and then we're hoping to release it at the same time as the new site.

The builder will be a similar setup to the old one with an annual subscription fee.  Currently it has all of the Blitzkrieg Commander lists in it and we'll be working on adding the Cold War lists towards the end of the year.

Upcoming Shows

Partizan was an excellent day out with unseasonably nice weather too, so it was great to see everyone there.  There are now only 3 events left for this year and we'll be back on the road for the Fiasco show on Sunday 29th October down in Leeds.   Last call for any pre-orders for this one!

After that we've got the 2-day Warfare show in Farnborough taking place on 11th & 12th November.  This is a busy one for us so please make sure to let us know in advance if you'd like anything bringing along.

Please remember that we always need your pre-orders sending through at least 7 days in advance to give us chance to get them ready for you.  You can place these through the website by choosing the Collect at Show delivery option.

Important Dates

Sun 29th Oct - Fiasco in Leeds (pre-orders before Sat 21st Oct)
Sat 11th/Sun 12th Nov - Warfare in Farnborough (pre-orders before Fri 3rd Nov)
Sat 25th Nov - Battleground in Stockton-on-Tees (pre-orders before Fri 17th Nov)
