French 1813 Finished! Huzzah! However, my photography (especially colour balancing) is worse than my painting. All Pendraken bar the caissons which are from Lancer Miniatures.

Elements of Lauriston's V Corps and Latour-Maubourg's I Heay Cavalry Corps.

Reserve artillery - a 12pdr and an 8pdr battery.

Foot artillery have 4 horse limbers, horse artillery 6 horses per limber and heavy artillery require 8.

16th Infantry Div; Mandeville's Brigade of 152nd and 153rd (3 battalions each). 2 8pdr foot batteries are also attached, and in the background is a gaggle of ADCs.

16th Division; Revest's Brigade of 3 battalions of the 154th Regiment, plus attached cavalry brigade of 8 squadrons of Chasseurs from 3 regiments.

Latour-Maubourg and part of 1 Hvy Cav Corps. Pelletier's Lt Cav brigade of 4 squadrons of lancers and 2 of chasseurs; Doumerc's 3rd Heavy Cavalry Division of 6 squadrons of Cuirassiers  and 12 squadrons of dragoons - plus a horse artillery battery.

I have created a convention that heavy cavalry (proper heavy cavalry) ride black horses, so they stand  out on the table.

Altogether 648 infantry and 320 cavalry; 5 batteries of artillery. Massively weighted in favour of cavalry - 32% when I usually aim for about 15% to 20% - but compared to the infantry, they were interesting to paint.

A very impressive army! Over 1000 figures, excellent work.

As to colour of photos - I've found that the green wargaming table seems to really confuse digital cameras - probably as there is just too much of one colour. Taking a photo a bit wider out to get some other items in the frame, then cropping can work quite well.

I'm sure this is finished in the typical wargamer's sense of a finished project. I.e. I have enough done to field a good sized force for a game, with options available, it doesn't mean that at some point in the future I might well find some extras that need adding.

QuoteFinished! Huzzah!
I do not understand this concept of ... finished.
There are 100 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who can work from incomplete data

They look excellent Nobby, I am just finding the concept of "Finished" hard to process.  :)

Finish (v)
  • bring (a task or activity) to an end; complete.
  • complete the manufacture or decoration of (an article) by giving it an attractive surface appearance.
  • transfer interest to another project, usually temporarily
