European late medieval monks and nuns may also be useful?

2 questions, Nobby.
1) What are using these for?
2) Which one is the Centurion tank?
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Ah! The Religious Communities have many uses:

  • General background, scenery
  • Objective - capture the monastery
  • Ad hoc first aid/hospital unit
  • Moral persuasion/referees - "surely, My Lord, you must see that fighting on the Feast day of St Adele the Impossibly Dimpled imperils your soul and the souls of all those who raise swords this day - though of course, you may defend yourselves."
  • Morale boosting: "God is with you. We shall pray for God and St Dave to strengthen your arm."
  • Terrain prohibition - "At the risk of your mortal soul, you shall not march armed men onto nunnery grounds."
  • Morale markers. Unobtrusive markers of a unit's morale state - like the Dark Riders I use for Napoleonics. Much better than using dice.

It's also little known that Cistercian nuns are an absolute whizz at camouflaging Centurion tanks. Once Sister Mary George has been at your tank, it's harder to find than a Ford Focus in an Ikea car park.

Really? Have you ever seen a Cistercian nun and a Centurion tank together?
