Evening all

Peter from NZ reporting in.....having seen and used some of Paul R's very nice AWI troops that he has featured in his battle reports posted on the forum I have been....tempted....into 10mm to do some brigade scale early WW1 actions using Two Fat Lardies "If The Lord Spares Us" rules (with Western front adoptations) that I have wanted to do for a long time.

We have a small test game lined up for this Saturday....all going well (and with the wife's blessing of course!  ;) )  will do an order shortly.

Will they look as good as the AWI stuff? - hopefully because Paul has provisionally indicated he is happy to paint them for me - in exchange for some more 10mm stuff....so a win/win situation for PM!

Cheers
Peter

Hi Peter, welcome to the forum.

As a fan of TFL rules and Pendraken figures I think you'll be very pleased with your choice. The Pendraken new releases for WW1 are particularly nice.

I like them so much I've filched some British Naval Division figures to act as WW2 Russian "Black Death" naval infantry and some WW1 Russians with grenades to add variety to my WW2 Russian partizans!

Welcome Peter  :-h

Some of the more astute on the forum will have deduced that the "in exchange for some more 10mm stuff" will be the NZ Mounted Rifle Brigage in Sinai and some Johnny Turks and Kaiser Bills for ITLSU  :)

Hi Peter. Welcome to Happy Valley.

I think it was Tony Bath who originally invented the principle whereby "I buy two wargames units; you paint both and give one to me", so you're in good company. If Paul's doing the painting you're a lucky man.  :-bd
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.
