Hi, trying to finish off my WW1 armies, which is a result of a change in rule sets.
i am now short
german 7.6cm
german 170mm
british 9.45"
any ideas would be greatfully recieved, my inital thoughts are use a 80mm ww2 mortar for the 7.6 and swap the larger motars for more field guns, i know they are not the same but might fil the gap left.
cheers
jon

We've got the 7.6cm, it's code GP16 - 75mm minenwerfer.
The other two we don't really have anything suitable for unfortunately, but I'll have a think. I'm not sure if the Brit 9.45" could be an easy enough scratch build though, as it's essentially a barrel on a plinth!

cheers leon,
i thought the minenwerfer was the grenatenwerfer, what then would be the grenatenwerfer? i was thinking a small ww2 mortar?
oppinions and advice greatly recieved

Hi Jon,
The Granatenwerfer 16 was a small grenade thrower which fired a 2kg grenade from a spigot.
The 7.58cm (76mm) Leichter Minenwerfer n/A (neuer Art) was a conventional tube-type mortar fired from a base plate to which wheels could be fitted for movement. This is code GP16/SCW109. The Soviets sold significant quantities to the Spanish Republic.
9.15cm (9cm) Leichter Minenwerfer M14 System Lanz was another tube-type.
17cm Mittlerer Minenwerfer a/A (alter Art) or n/A. Medium tube-type mortar. Similar in appearance to the 76mm Leichter Minenwerfer. It could be fitted with wheels for movement.
You will find details of these and more besides at:

Hope this helps.
