I'll be writing up the full thing later and adding pics from the AWI game wherein myself and Goat Major soundly thrashed GavinPs Rebels!
It was an excellent day. Very friendly. All the games looked great. And the cake was bloody lovely! :)
And i now have a large pile of 10mm to paint...
Thanks to Leon and crew for organising it all. Well done!
Andy
Yep - an excellent day out and some terrific games on show - Ratshire was superb but all of them were a treat to look at.
I enjoyed watching Rubicon's BKC game in the morning when Pendraken's Dave took on James - and then I enjoyed myself even more playing Rubicon in the afternoon - lovely terrain and models - thank you Bob!
Picked up my first bags of Pendraken figures - for early WW2/Sealion and new ACW...............find myself thinking of undead and ratmen after meeting the Brompton Bankers as well - -thank you Robert!
What a brilliant hobby and thanks to one and all - here's to the next one!
Proper writeup now on my blog as well as more pics of the AWI game.

Nah, it was the 3hrs sleep on Thursday night, and the 2hrs on Friday night which caught up with me a bit!

Our battle of Jarama featuring the British battalion of the 15th International Brigade would never have been as famous if the Brits performed as poorly as mine did!
Even though I was defending with 4 companies against 8, the Brits suffered more casualties than the Spanish Nationalists :(
In all the play tests we did at home the casualty ratio was much more in favour of the Brits. The only hero this time was the driver of the ammo truck, who managed to resupply two units in the game.
Mark
Excellent, thanks for the pics! You managed to get one of Dave and the cake as well, which I think I might have missed!
Feel free to copy any you need Leon, put a birthday one on the website lol
All of the pics look really good - wish I'd been there
Here's my selection of pics from the day (a bit AWI heavy but i think i got something from all the games in there)

:P
It's taken me a couple of hours to get them all edited, the lighting in the room was a little dark. They've now been uploading to Photobucket for about an hour now, and it's only half way through... :o
I despise Photobucket with a passion >:(
It moves so slow when I'm looking at others' albums, my computer actually stops! That's why I have used Picassa for mine.
Mark
Good for you Leon ! =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
I think you really deserve some rest soon....So you can catch on your beauty sleep.
Looking forward to seeing them !
Cheers - Phil.

You're right - Picasa is way faster...might have to start using it more...
The new Photobucket mass upload tool is much much better than the normal method - I uploaded 60+ photos in a few minutes on my flaky connection
aye, the 39 I uploaded for the Bash took less than the standard time unit:
the time from walking to the kitchen to make a brew and back again
Only trouble is I'm already using 688 MB of 1024 MB available free storage, with about 680 pics, might have to delete some soon.
For those interested, here are my World of Tanks and 20mm ancients pics:

I wish I'd known about that earlier! It's just about finished mine now... :D
