You and Falkirk are pretty close to each other now, you know!
Claymore's miles ahead. But I would say that, wouldn't I. :D
With 33 traders coming we're certainly better for shopping, I think some companies have decided to only come to one Scottish show this year.
But I usually enjoy Falkirk more as I don't have to work.
From a purely sales-based perspective, our Claymore takings peaked in 2009 and have dropped by 20% for the past two years, whereas Falkirk's takings have increased every year, except for this year, which was around a 5% drop on 2011. 2011 was also the first year where we did better at Falkirk than Claymore.
So, it's going to be interesting to see how this year's Claymore works out, and whether it gains back ground on Falkirk for us. I think you get a lot more numbers through the door than Carronade (600-ish I think), and obviously you have more traders as well.
Thought Claymore was a bit lack lustre last year, but as Hibs drawn away, I'll have nowt else to do. Actually even if they were at home, Claymore would be a better bet ;(

Leon/Dave,
Just sent my order in for claymore
I hope you guys will not dash off AFTER the show and we can have a good beer (or Ale for the more traditional gentlemen among us). Myself will promote another game there with a mate but will surely drop by and pick up some stuff. If I manage to send in an order for example.
Cheers
Roland

We'll be heading off after the show I'm afraid, as we'll have been up since 4am to drive up there! I'll be popping round all the games though, so I'll come and say hello.
If you need anything bringing up, we'll need to know asap, as we're snowed under with stuff at the moment.
Already looking.
Ah too bad, but understandable.

Lovely figures, not sure my eyes are up to painting them tho!!!
Totally easy man, I was in doubt as well but what it takes is just a slight change of techniques you know from say 28mm.
More brushing, brighter colors and never forget it is the OVERALL look that counts, not the single fig.
Just back from Claymore where I picked an up my order (thanks again Leon). More detailled report to come but lets just say 2 gentleman (I assume one of them was Leon) with awesome figures at decent prices.
Cheers for now
Roland
All my 10s up till now have been olive drab head to toe so looking at these ACW once I got released from the Bring N Buy ...I thought "$hTTTT!! They didnt look that small in the pics !!"
Good show, finally picked up the Arab pack to make a start to the wife's Saladin Army, next up crusaders. (And eventually purchasing lots of WW2 German tanks and transports)
Great service as always today Leon. ACW fabby. More guns still required. problem is you have tooooo many nice figures i want :'(

Which one of the gentlemen was actually you? I assume the other one was Dave?
Dave is the really tall one, not that I'm saying Leon is short.

Dave's the older one, possibly snoozing behind the stand... and I'm the younger one stopping him from breaking the till. :D

I would have interpreted Dave as mastering the crowd from the backrow....
But was cool to see Pendraken in action...the Pickelhaube looks a bit Bismarck though...
