This month we've got a bit of a random assortment of releases, but hopefully there's something there for everyone!
The big release is the long-awaited addition of the French artillery, filling this must needed gap, and allowing us to add a handy army pack to the catalogue as well. The Naps aren't the only area getting a bit more bang for their buck, as we've also added the Espignol's to the Schleswig-Holstein range, taking this one to completion for the foreseeable future.
Elsewhere, we've got some useful limbers and MG pack teams for the SCW, and a few more decals added to the WWII ranges.
And bringing up the rear, many moons after the Sculpting Competition ended, we've got the winning sculpts ready to go, along with a bunch of the other entries! We hope you like this lot, and they'll certainly add a bit of menace to your dungeons!

Good timing on the French artillery and hoping for some 12 pounders.

They're still being tweaked by Clib, so they've not arrived here yet. As soon as they're here, we'll rush them through the moulding queue.

Excellent - time for a bit more Pulp & Cthulhu then :d 8)
Sooooooon please.
Steve.
The Kraken/Deep ones look excellent.
Are the two poses in each pack or just one?

They're all 2 of the same pose, except for the Elder Thing, which comes with 2 different head types:

Cool :)
Not into fantasy (unless were talking the bedroom...! :-*), but outstanding to see sculpts from last years competition making an appearance as official pendraken figures ;)

I like those too. And I also see that you guys molded a bunch, not just the winning entries!
Leon could you please add pictures for some of the new WW2 decals? Russian and US I think...
Another thing, (not into fantasy either) but who/what exactly is 'Jim'?
:) Peter

Yeah, I'll get the decals sorted soon, the scanners packed in recently so I couldn't get them done in time for the releases.
'Jim' was a figure done by Techno as a kind of 'How to' when we ran the Sculpting Comp last year, he posted various WIP pics as he went along, and Jim was the result!
And he got called 'Jim' from day one...I couldn't think of anything suitably Chaotic ;)
It seems to have stuck ! ;D
Cheers - Phil.
any chance of some pictures of French 1809 artillary packs please ?.

Yeah, I'll get them done asap, didn't have time to start gluing wheels to carriages when I was grabbing the pics!
:-[
I am interested, what is the tall of Jim?
By the way... great releases this month!!
Hi Jchaos.
I presume you mean Jim's height ?
From memory he's about 18mm to his eyes..(20mm to the top of his head)..He's meant to be a Chaotic Lord at this scale.
Hope that helps !
Cheers - Phil.
Yes, thank you! and sorry for the gramma
Some excellent additions there...love the Cthulhu vibe.
I really must get my dungeon up and running...need some decent rules though. Maybe Mordhiem...
Mordheim is great but combat can be a bit slow and drawn out. LotR makes just as fun a game but is a little quicker to play.
True but LotR lacks the 'campaign development' of the characters, that an 'RPG-lite' dungeon crawl would benefit from.
Greetings
Is NPF27 "8pdr gun with line crew (3) £3.50" also meant to represent the AN XI 6pdr deployed with some French units in 1809?
I'm no artillery expert so I don't know if the old Gribeauval looked similar to the AN XI 6pdr? See http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=259807 for some discussion on artillery allocation in 1809.
Regards
Edward
I always understood that most of the 6 prs introduced at around that time were actually captured Prussian and Austrian pieces. Napoleon's fixation with 6 prs stemmed from his contention that most of his generals had no idea when to use 4 prs and when to use 8 prs. And 6 prs were light enough to be used as horse-artillery weapons.
I like the new releases!! *calm down.. finish your undead project first... attempt another later... *
Don't be daft man. Buy it now, it will only be more expensive in the future / not available / made in resin [delete excuse as required]

If Pendraken goes resin, i'm coming down their with an angry mob and a hay fork...
And a length of wood with long nails hammered thro' so they poke out of the other side !
Biff..Smack...Smack ! (Don't think resin would work at this scale !......Well....It would, if you wanted to pay Evil Empire prices..... ;D ;D ;D)

Muppet !!....You've got the decimal point in the wrong place Luddite !
£486.00 sounds
far more reasonable....Do you still want 10 'Goat'...Even I'll have a go if you're that keen. ;)
I'll have to do something in the 'Intro's' soon...seeing as I've been such a coward....And admit I used to work for the Evil Empire....I wonder how many others there are on the forum ?.....Bet it's not
just me ;D ;D ;D ;D
Cheers - Phil
I was a sergeant in a keystore.
I was their photographer (which is why I get so teed off with my efforts nowadays.....Did have £10K's worth of equipment to play with tho')....Then I was 'in charge' of the figure painters....Then 'in charge' of the figure designers....blah, blah, blah...
Huge fun half the time.....The other half ..... BIG YUK !!
Cheers - Phil.
just dug out my battered 3rd edition WHFB, in credits photography Phil L :-\

Yep....'Fraid that's me Matt.
All the old rulebooks, some of the board games, and a few dozen
very old White Dwarfs are really all I've got left from those days, now. :'( :'(
I'll have to dig them out at some stage and get all nostalgic. ;)
Cheers - Phil.

Just had a look at an old (1988) 'Fantasy Miniatures' booklet from GW. Not only does it say that most pics were taken by Phil L, but there's also a small mugshot! :o
So, Hi, Phil and keep up the good work!
Alex
Thanks Alex.
I probably still looked relatively young in those days :-<.....I'd just love to be able to play with the photographic equipment I had access to then.....Having said that I wouldn't have the room to set it up here ;D ;D. I'll just have to learn to use the all singing all dancing digital piece of ****, I've got now.....
And learn how to paint figures again.....I'm so far behind everybody nowadays ! :'(
Cheers - Phil
Phil, if you learnt photography with film SLR cameras, then you need a digital camera that allows you to take back some control from auto everything. While the cheapest digital camera's don't offer much control, there are many mid-range ones that allow the user to control enough factors (though sometimes finding out how to do this can be tricky - but the internet is your friend someone as probably posted a video or photo instructions somewhere on the web for any and all models of camera).
I currently have a fairly low end Canon DSLR and it is great, but prior to that I had a Kodak all in one with 10x optical zoom, that was a really good camera for under £200 that had enough controls to allow decent mini photos, as well as taking good general photos.
Thanks for that Fred.
You're right....I learnt using a 35mm SLR.....The monster I used in the studio was a 5"x4" plate camera.
I've got two digital cameras....One's a little 'un....But with a fair old amount of control...with fully manual or the different priorities...
That's the one I use to take shots of Wips of the little chaps.....But being an idle git I almost always use it on programme.
My excuse for that is I lost the instruction book....But I've found it now....So I'll see if I can improve with that.
I've recently got a Canon digital SLR....And have JUST started using it on manual...Sooooo.... hopefully I'll have some luck with that too !
The chap who recommended that particular camera is forever telling me to look at 'Youtube' for helpful advise....Just as you are ;D ;D
Cheers - Phil.
Make sure you get a tripod - even if its just a £10-15 one.
I'm guessing your a visual chap so I thought instruction videos would be more your thing than instruction books ;)

Still got my old tripod Fred.....And now I've found the instruction book for the little Pentax I can use the tripod in conjunction with the self timer .....Huzzah !
You're absolutely right....
Watching something is usually far more instructive than plowing through an instruction manual ! (Bl**dy things ;))
I'll see if I can made a better job of the photo's with the next batch of the Falkland's figures !
Cheers - Phil.

If that happens, I may be forced to unleash my Angry Birds artillery, pointing to North Yorkshire. You are warned :d
Where do you chaps at PD HQ sit on that issue?
Middleboro - North Yorkshire, Cleveland or Teeside :-\

I was quite happy with Cleveland, but then they disappeared it from everything and the only evidence left is some of the local forces, like Cleveland Police are still around. We class ourselves as North Yorkshire now, I'm not keen on 'Teesside' myself. I live in Great Ayton myself, so North Yorkshire is much nicer on the address...! :D
Once again Leon, you have let everyone down with your unforgivable lack of fantasy bears ;) - i do like the Carthaginian elephants though
And bear cavalry.
And bears riding bears.

I draw the line well before sculpting ursine smut....PAH !!

I wonder... what's the Kraken Beast's height? Any pic comparing to the "standard size 10mm pendraken figure"?
By the look of it it's based on the gargoyle figure, which is basically human sized, perhaps a touch bigger.
