Title: British in Africa
Post by: Blaker on 27 October 2011, 07:12:32 AM
Howdy Yall,

So my question to those of you in the know, what color was the trouser for the British Soldier during the Zulu wars?

Dark Blue, Medium Blue, Light Blue, Grey?

Trying my hand at painting up some Zulu wars minis for both sides.

thanks for the help.   ;)

Very dark blue - aka Police uniform. In  10mm I'd go for black.

Commisariat officer - supplies were only semi-millitary in 1879.

As to colour - in 15mm you could use Navy blue - but black works better in smaller scales.
