As some of you will know Bill Linhart (alias D Guy), Paul Reynolds and myself have been working on two books connected with the "For King and Parliament" rule set. These have now been completed and have just been released in both printed and PDF format.
The first is a series of 9 connectable scenarios covering the 1644 - 45 campaign in Scotland led by the Marquis of Montrose.

The second covers a set of suggested rules, largely developed by Bill, which cover the more unique aspects of 17th century warfare in Scotland and Ireland both during and after the Civil Wars.

Our thanks to Simon Miller and Andrew Brentnall, the authors of "For King and Parliament", for their encouragement and support in getting the books completed and published.
My personal thanks go to Bill, whose original blog inspired me to start gaming this period in 10mm about 6 years ago, and to Paul for his masterful editing skills in making sense of my contributions towards the books.
Many thanks are also due to several other forum members who assisted us with some very helpful advice/comments - Ithoriel and fsn in particular.
We are now working on our next scenario book which covers events in Ireland from 1641 to 1649.
Finally thanks to Leon for his agreement to let me post this here.
If the Wars of the Three Kingdoms is a period that you play I hope you find our offerings enjoyable.
Cheers
Peter
Exciting times! Well done chaps - off to have a look.
Congratulations! I hope your books find an appreciative audience.
Many congratulations, well done! =D> =D> =D>
Great idea.
Well done all on a great task
Excellent work guys!
Order will be on its way shortly!
Looks interesting - not just as a wargamer (who has a pile of unpainted 10mm for the period) but I also volunteer at Crathes castle in Aberdeenshire and spend most of my time in the room where Montrose dined the night before he ventured with his army into Aberdeen. Time to get painting!
Well done, an obvious work of love!
Many thanks for the kind words :)
It has been an incredibly enjoyable and rewarding experience involving collaboration with great people in New Zealand, England, Scotland, Australia, West Virginia and Texas.
Our hosts have an ad in the second book, Celtic Fringe, and about a third of the pictures in both books are of 10mm figures from Pierre the Shy's collection. Hopefully this will boost Pendraken's ECW sales ;)
My copies arrived from the UK a couple of days ago and they look even better in person :) :D
I will look out for these, though I don't yet have plans to paint Scots and Irish armies. Thanks.
