Cheers toxic, those are going to be forest shamblers. I could have went with just dryad types but I thought it might look more interesting with other elemental stuff in there! The centaurs, gnomes and amazons are sylvan kin regiments.

The beauty of fantasy is that you can slip a few different bits and bobs in :)

You are really great!!! Two armies in nearly two months!!!!

I've a question for you... i see warpaints in your photos... what do you think of them?? Do you prefer them or vallejo model color??
Thanks :)

And again congratulations!!!!!  =D>

Ric

Thanks very much for the kind words! I have so many projects on the go that when I get the chance, I paint as fast as I can!

I honestly prefer the ap warpaints range, I think the colour from the bottle is just right and it's consistent with the spray undercoats which I pretty much use exclusively.

That being said I often use the vallejo model colour when I want to achieve a mixed colour, they seem to mix together better for some reason!

Great start on the elves - and on the extras for the goblins. You really are cracking on with these armies at speed!

toxicpixie - the KoW army lists are well worth a look as they have a few different and fun units in them. But I think the free pdfs are a bit light on fluff and description of the units, they are mainly just the stat line

So I was waiting for the paint to dry on my elves when I remembered that I'd got acw flags delivered in my last order so with a quick flocking and the addition of flags ive pretty much finished one half of my acw project...

The other half looks pretty daunting, and I may have to put some of the union units into the confederate army to give me balanced sides but ill get to it at some point!

Ric

Elves are pretty much flocked now and I started highlighting one of the sylvan kin units..longest part was brushing on the stong tone 'quick' shade though,  it took forever!

Genom

Dude, you're putting the rest of us to shame!

toxicpixie

Look good, impressive speed :S

Yeah, the KoW freebies are stats only but the piccies of *everything* on the site give a lot of shiny :)

Finished the two shamblers regiments with a little base embellishment and some lichen on the dryads. These guys are the heavy infantry of my wood elf force!

fred.

They've turned out very well!

Interesting use of the water elementals, but it works well

The grooving treeman, always looks better with a bit of added foliage, looks less saturday night fever!

Cheers guys! I'll be honest I've never really figured out the best way to apply lichen, I just stick it on and hope for the best!

Techno

I like those a lot:-bd

Just out of interest....Does anyone know what type of lichen that is ?.....There's bucket fulls growing on some of the trees out here......But it seems very 'brittle' in its natural state.
I assume it's treated with 'something' before it's sold as a scenic item.
