One Rgt of the British army stills takes its colours on campaign. However I dont think the infantry or cavalry had them in the Sudan.

Based on the illustrations I have.....errrrr some show colours, however the majority do not... Therefore those newspaper men who sketched events were with my chaps :)

The forces have filled 2 box files and half filled another. Once I get the remains (the new stuff I bought) done then I will fill all three and need a fourth for terrain.

Not the cavalry. I wrote to the regimental museum of the Queen's Own Lancer a year or two ago to ask.

Most of those newspaper men probably never went further east than Essex.

The reporters were there, however their on the spot illustrations were often redone back in blighty :D
