Very true Paul :)

I have now finished the Heavy gun, the four bases of armoured cavalry and all nine Baggara cavalry. I also made a start on the last 18 bases of Dervish infantry.
I must get the camel corps infantry and gatlings covered in sand and sprayed black... but plenty left to do before I need to worry about them.

Sometimes I wonder - why is that frisbee geting bigger - and then it hits me!

But if you remember the poem - "the Gatling's jammed.... "

Are you suggesting Paul needs to "Play up! play up! and play the game!" by any chance?

Looking forward to seeing some pics of these chaps in action.

He doesn't need to, judging by the score from Christchurch.  :)

<WHOOSH> - sound of comment going right over my head. I presume we're talking about the NZ club rather than Wessex Wyverns?

NZ have just wiped out Sri Lanka by eight wickets. McCullum got 195 in the first innings.

I do indeed.... still don't get it... is it saying cricket prepares the boys for war or war prepares the for cricket.  As it stands they were Gardiner guns.... which scans just as well  ;D

I'd always assumed it was a reference to the late nineteenth century upper class ethos whereby the public school educated elite could rally the plebs just by the force of their personality and fair play. I could be hopelessly wrong, of course....
