Does anyone have a full list of manufacturers that supply 10mm shield transfers particularly for Early Imperial Roman, especially Auxilia & Cavalry, & Ancient British/Gauls?

I'm working on Celts right now; but I think I'll be painting, and then drawing, designs, using waterproof permanent markers, which will also make simple tartans quite easy.

If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Do you have any pics of WIP's? This method sounds very interesting.

I'll see what I can do. Right now I'm just painting on base colours; but keep these light and draw your checks and spirals and stripes by hand, and you should get pretty good results. I posted a piccie or two of some hoplites this morning, btw, where I drew the dark outlines on white linothorax canvas armour. THe shields are photocopied downloads, reduced to 10mm and painstakingly glued on; I'm rather pleased with the result.
Make sure you're using fine-pointed permanent markers. I've got them in blue, scarlet, brown, black, gold, green, and gold.

Not trying to get you to do all the graft but where do you get yours from and who makes them?

Thanks.

Staedtler and Monami, and some with no indication of the maker. I' sure W H Smith will be able to give you what you want.

Someone on TMP was saying that if you contact LBMS he will make his shield designs into any size you require, they may cost a little bit more though..might be particularly good for the banners
