Painting 6mm is exactly the same as painting 10mm except you start 4mm lower down
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Thanks, couldn't I just raise my painting table 4mm?
Buy plenty of Matron's sculpts now!

If he keeps using the chainsaw, the value of his work will soon go up.

Only if you want to complicate matters

I do paint 6mm exactly like 10mm though same. They both come out fine

I find painting Irregular 6mm a lot easier than anything else especially as with the black undercoat most of the areas between the figures is either inaccessible with a brush for any colour so is counted as shaded. Most of the painting is just blobs of different sizes or thin lines in approximately the right place. The trick is to use brighter colours than you normally would so that the little chaps stand out. I remember that when I painted my ACW 6mm it was taking me 30 minutes per Confederate block but only 20 per Union. The French are about 30 minutes but the Prussians are taking a little longer because the standards -once I get it right- are more intricate than the tricoleur.
Even in 10mm I've found there is more definition on the figures so you have to be correspondingly more careful.

The LGB rules have the French elan concept which is an absolute hoot to play, especially when a bunch of Turcos take umbrage and go haring forward. I also found that giving the Prussians more bases in a unit worked just as well as having different size bases for French and Prussians. I used to play 4 French bases to 6 Prussian.
