Sorry to hear that. know how you feel as I came back from holiday last February and my job had disappeared while I was away. I knew it was happening but didn't make it feel any better when it happened. As I was about to turn 60 in may there was little chance of being reemployed so had to 'sign on' To add insult to injury when a small pension from another employment kicked in on my birthday they reduced my Job-seekers allowance by the same amount and then when that expired I had too much in savings to qualify for income support! so now I  sign on simply to keep my Pension credits valid.
Anyway "a Guid New Year to ane and ae"
