Not surprised you get back problems Kev.... It's probably caused by being bent double while painting all that lot....You have my sympathies !
Cheers - Phil.

Excellent work there, nice and bright as well, and the coloured base edges is something I've not seen before.

If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Thank's chaps, i really enjoyed doing these, been a while since i did 6mm. You could be right Techno, to many years in construction and now just sitting painting does take it's toll.
They are based for command and colours Leon, Mollinarys the one to ask about that, i just follow orders :).

Hi Leon,

As Kev says, they are based for Commands and Colors Ancients, where infantry units have four bases, cavalry three, and elephants and chariots two. I will be using  hex matts or Kallistra terrain with 100mm  across the hexes, and the units will be 80mm by 30mm deep.  The elephants are two 40x30mm bases, the cavalry are 1 x 80x15mm and 2 x 40x15mm, the infantry 1 x 80x15mm, 1 x 40x15mm and 2 x  20x15mm.  The colours represent the unit's weight according to the rules.   Red is Heavy, Blue is Medium, and Green is Light.  The other two troop types, Warrior and Auxilia, are represented by blue/white and green/white respectively.  These colours reflect those for the blocks used in the original board game.  Happy to answer any questions anyone may have.
These figures are completing a long running project to do the Epic scenarios from the Punic Wars version of C&CA.

Thanks for the info, I've not seen that done before, but it adds a nice bit of extra colour to the stands.  And of course makes for easier recognition on the table!

At the risk of being burnt at the stake for the heresy of suggesting I might be even remotely interested in something other than "god's own scale" .... what make are the figures?

Baccus they are!   Peter Berry has had a lot of the Ancient ranges re-sculpted over the last three years or so, and they are lovely figures. You can see painted sample units of most of his figures on the Baccus website.
