For a gamer, the unbalanced games are about the best use of your troop types. When you have two armies of the same types and numbers, the challenge is more around beating the opposing general.

I have to admit though, in my BKC games, i rarely play armies that are evenly balanced, mostly games were one side has a handicap (less points because of a defending position for example)

The funnest games are those where the defenders can hold out against the onslaught!

An example for a nice bash with specific objectives and a (narrow) defender victory is this game i played!

I get both depends on the army i am collecting.  ie I got quality for Afika Korps and quantity for my americans for Tunisa bolt action armies.
