Much to my surprise I sold 20 Battlefield Gothic Ork ships for 107 quid!
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Had what could be called a rather 'creepy' ebay experience last night, when I noticed car headlights pointing up the drive while I was watching the TV.

Better go and check that, thought I, only to find a strange little chap standing outside the back door.
"Are you lost ?"
"You hev deeshwasheer to sell on eeebay ?"
"Er...No."
"What post caode are yoo ?"
Tell him post code.
"Ah car Breeeng us here."
"I'm afraid that post code covers about a mile on this road as the houses are so far apart."
"You have black Kia ?"
"No....Sorry, I don't know anyone that does.....What's the name or address of the people you're trying to find ?"
"Errrrrr.....Do not know.".....He walks down to his car to look at his mobile.....Starts scrolling through it.
"Oh.....No seegnal."

Then ten minutes of guessing names in the drizzle until I hit on one that he recognized.
"Yeaus.....that's eet."

Point man in right direction....Run indoors and phone a 'neighbour' about 3/4 of a mile away to warn them.
Fortunately I'd guessed correctly...and they did have a dishwasher for sale and had been waiting for these blokes to turn up...They'd already assumed they'd got lost.
HAH !!

So all was well.....But it rather creeped self and Mrs Techno out.
Needless to say we were very brave and had all the dogs out with us while we were talking.....They're good at sounding fierce.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Cheers - Phil.

'Dish washer'?  I presume he wasn't after the Maid of All Work.  Selling one's servants isn't the done thing nowadays.

This chap sounded like a slovenly Johnny Foreigner old boy so Sterling work on the stiff upper lip there Mr Techno.

Good job you had the hounds in attendance.  You never can be too sure.  Encounters with these queer sorts can quickly turn into a rum do and its always useful to distract them with beagles while you break out the fowling piece.

In this case shouldn't you have brought out the sub machine gun instead?

Sounds to me if you could have seen the blighter off with a few good whacks from a stout walking stick.

Was it Peter Lorre by any chance?

Peter Lorre looks normal compared to 'my friend'....
What got me was, that while I was looking over his shoulder....(He was rather short)...and watching him scroll through his address book....that I've never seen so many surnames begin with the letter 'Z'.

Didn't see Zorro though.

I think he was a bit bothered by the mutts though.....HUZZAH !

Cheers - Phil.

Very, very true Ian.
But it's surprising how many folk don't seem to know this, and keep well away from them if they all start 'shouting' at the gate ! :) ;)
