Can anyone shed any light on GR177, described somewhat ambiguously as Panzer Grenadiers?
All I need is a quick indication of poses and weapons, obviously a picture would be great.
I am putting together a company of mid-late war Germans and these guys could be perfect for mixing into the rifle sections, on the other hand, they could be assigned to guard the spares box...
Many thanks
Chris

Yes please!

And can somone explain what the enigmatic "GR 112 Panzernacht troops, winter equipment" are? Currently in the dark about these too.

Maybe they are armoured infantry with IR goggles? :D

I've come to the conclusion that GR177 are a myth as this question has popped up several times without an answer emerging  ;)

GR112 are presumably armed with anti tank grenades/mines and should be titled Panzerknacker

Panzerknackers would make more sense. But why do they then only appear with winter equipment?  :-\

Also shouldn't the Panzer Grenadiers be just regular infantry, but with less kit? As this was usually left on the vehicles?

Perhaps and/or with camo smocks

An earlier answer by Leon seems to imply field caps (Feldmütze) and/or cammo shelters (Zeltbahn)?

I'd like to know if other blisters (such as 122/123/124/165/198 exc) do represent some suited figures wearing also field caps and the zeltbahn camo overall.

... you'd be better off with GR177, 123, and GR14 without the ski's.

Greetings

I've got a pack of GR177 somewhere but it's buried at present.  My memory is smock and helmet cover with at least one pose with rifle advancing/ready.

Not a great quality scan but should do to show what's in the pack.

Two poses. One firing, one advancing. Firing figure doesn't appear to have helmet cover, advancing figure does. Both with minimal equipment. Both rifle armed.

There are 100 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who can work from incomplete data

GR 112 Panzernacht troops, winter equipment - one pose trotting forward with slung rifle and a cluster grenade, wearing a helmet and winter smock with the hood back. Sorry, no photos

I'll confirm with Dave tomorrow, as he's the 20th C. guy.
