Hi,

Not posted in ages, Glad to be back :) Had my first games in ages the other night, me and an old pal decided to have a trip down memory lane with a couple of games of DBA and I have to say its as good as its ever been :) I used some of my Pendraken armies the English painted some time back the Scots were part of my newly painted chaps. Heres a photo (sorry about the quality the light wasn't great for picces) from mid game more on the Blog for those who want a toot.

It gets the right results for all the wrong reasons :) Much preferable to the alternative IMHO!

Nice one Bishop ;)

I have a pile of Sweaty Socks for medievals waiting on the sidelines for some inspiration and this could be it. Need to get some 10mm painting time in before the eyes give up altoghether!
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

Nice game, Jason. People look down their noses at DBx games, but I always think they're good entertainment value.  :-bd

Great game, welcome back.
DBA were revolutionary when they first came out. It was all the DBM rewrites that annoyed me.

In that case don't visit the DBA Yahoo Group - current argument is about the Font size for the new production.

Tis a very silly place.

Find DBA2 perfectly acceptable for my needs. Use the 60mm frontage etc with double the number of 10mm figures. Armies look more like armies than a few bases someone forgot to put away.

Havnt played DBA in about 20 years, though it did get our group into ancients at the time when we played nothing but WW2
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!
