I always wanted a Johnny 7 (which, before you smutmongers get involved, was a toy rifle.) It had a grenade launcher, bipod, pistol, missile and everything that a boy could want.

Didn't that have a really cool (by 7 year standards) advert?

Anyone have the ubiquitous Airfix pontoon bridge to go with?

Hell, yes! And the gun emplacement with British para and the first German infantry (the one with the squeezebore gun). It came with a DUKW, Centurion, M60 and SPG of some description.

It's how I got started, and also why the Centurion is so dear to me.  :-[

Indeed it is ... this is with a M113. It's the first military thing I had bought for me. I got it for Xmas when I was about 6. Think I was specially allowed out of hospital for that Xmas.

Never looked back!

Those tank choices are so historically inaccurate, but how many of us ever noticed?
