Okay...so we never grew up right?  I mean c'mon guys, we still play "toy soldiers". (Please note that Pendraken miniatures are not toys and may contain lead)"

So I was wondering why...why could we not move on...why we could not grow up...why the obsession with hording pewter?

My personal reflection led to this:

The Shado 2...the one that got away...the forbidden fruit.

And this is why I have the yawning hole that needs to be filled with shiny shiny goodness.

So, what was yours?  And remember the pics please  :)

For thundercats i instead got the thunder claw: http://theredwoodconnection.com/?page_id=1714

I think the thought of me and my brother having to go to hospital with ball bearings stuck in hands and forehead put the folks off

I also wanted one of these

but they were never in stock, the supplier said some mad kid from the Isles of Scotland kept buying them all

Last Hussar

When I was about 7 a toyshop, I think it was Jennings, possibly in Enfield Lock, had a spy kit.  A briefcase with molded insert to hold all the cool spy equipment.  It was far superior to other cheapy spy kits on sale.

My mother said "Wait to see what you get for Christmas"

Bet you can guess what I DIDN'T get.

36 years later I still remind her...
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Maybe they did buy it for you

You just couldn't work out the subtle clues to find out where they had hidden it..Its probably self destructed by now

I did actually own a load of these, plus tiggers, panthers, Pattons and the Bailey bridge.
Sold them to pay for Xmas when I was about 11, most were boxed too!

This one looks a bit unsafe to the eyes  :P :P :P

Apparently there was a science kit that actually contained radioactive material so you could conduct "glow in the dark" experiments.

I am not making this up  :o

Yes, I had several of those. None of them had a straight gun barrel.
