Revolutions of 1848-1849

Okay sooo I guess I should start this as a new thread so here goes.

The Revolutions that ripped through the Austrian Empire in 1848-49 were pretty involved, especially the Hungarian Revolution, huge armies and huge battles.

So my questions to this esteem group of members  are these:

1)  What rules would best work for the Italian Revolution and the Hungarian Revolution?

2)  What figures in the Pendraken range would work for these two Revolutions?

3) If there are not suitable minis, then, what would be some good suggestions to send to Leon for possible minis in the future?

Cool. So we have some rules to look, some OOBs to look at, some battles to look at, how about miniatures?

Any suggestions there?

Mike Embree's new book 'Radetzky's Marches' covers the Austrian reconquest of Italy, just out, looks excellent.

Very cool about the book. I just received the book, Radetzky, by Alan Sked. Havent started reading it yet. I looked for the Michael Embree book but it looks like it is not out yet and will only produce 750 copies of the book!!!

Since I am a "Radetzky", this is very exciting for me to hear that there is something in English and hence the interest in this Revolution to game 

Having grown up in Texas, the languages you learn are kinda English and maybe Spanish, soo all of the stuff about Radetzky in German and Italian, are no help to me 

Anyhoo, very very excited about this book coming out and wargaming this little war.

WOOO HOOOO       just received Mike Embree's book and thumbed through it - man it looks very very promising cant wait to start reading it
