My Kursk Soviets are nearing completion and here are a few pics of the forces involved.

KV1s, slow but very difficult to stop.

T70s - nice little models; crap tank.

BA-64 armoured cars, quick and nimble but cardboard armour.

"Sergei, what have I told you about parking the re-load truck behind the Katyushas!"

SU-152s - a six-inch naval shell will spoil anybody's day.

Vatutin:        "What are those tanks doing out there? Why aren't they at their start positions?
Rokossovsky: "That's because they're German, Comrade Marshal"  (True story)

Subordinate HQ No 1

Subordinate HQ No 2

The Meatwall. About half the infantry required. The machine-guns were usually posted behind.

152mm Howitzers - elderly but effective.

76mm divisional guns. We have plenty of them.

The excellent 57mm Zis anti-tank guns.

"I don't want to worry you, Vasily, but that last round bounced off that German's helmet.... "

Impressive numbers and even more impressive painting!

Finally got painting table sorted out and back to painting WW2 figures. Can't help feeling I've got a mountain to climb to match the stuff being posted on the here and elsewhere on the forum.

Very Nice Ray,

Just what I didn't need when I am trying to keep my Russians to early war- more temptation.   Oh I am such a wargames slapper. :D
