I am wearing my new picture, thank you. Now looking forward to tomorrow to see D-46!

It hasn't worked :( Looks like it copied the image to the forum's server, instead of just linking to it on my website, as I'd expected. Bugger.

What happens if you press F5 then ?
I'm not going to try that.
The F buttons on my keyboard are all covered with layers of dust.
For all I know it sets an auto-destruct mechanism on my PC.
Cheers  Phil

Dont worry Phil, by the way you describe your computer you should have a good 12 hours to get away from the blast zone
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Only if you're within a day's march of licensed premises - and I get the impression Phil isn't....
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

It's not that bad Ray...... ;D ;D ;D ;D
Though the nearest neighbour's about 300 yards away.....It's only a mile and a quarter to a decent sized village.....And almost the only thing that's really missing from there, is a bank of any description. ;)

Cheers - Phil

Are you on a Mac?  F5 is the 'Refresh' shortcut on most PC's.

I've fixed it for him now.  I'm guessing you've got some kind of countdown pic system you're doing for fsn (which is pretty cool if so!)?  The web address for the current one looks to be http://phillipsuk.org/tmp/fsn.php so if you upload the new picture to that same location each day, it should automatically update his profile for him?

It's a simple PHP script that creates a .png image from the picture of the centurion, plus generated text, then returns the image. In normal HTML, you'd use something like this to display the image:

<img src="http://phillipsuk.org/tmp/fsn.php">

My guess is that the forum copies the avatar image, and so it shows whatever text was generated when the image was copied. I'm also guessing that an image in a signature won't be copied, so it'll get updated automatically.

Edited to add: I've just done a quick check, and can confirm that the image in the signature will update automatically

Thanks for the info, the avatar image requires an address to look for it, but it must make a copy and store it on the forum server, as you say.  I've just noticed the one in his signature now, so all sorted!

There's still the D-46 one on your avatar fsn, do you want that changing to something else now?

Isnt it meant to be a 24 hour global economy now or something, trading never ceases if we believe those in the City of London...Come on Pendraken your losing out in the Japanese markets

Release and be damned!

You'd think one of the Leon clones could have been designated.

Still, it's probably going to be the long awaited LoA "latrine diggers", and the "dragoons with the hats tilted at a jaunty angle" to compliment the "dragoons with the hats dead straight". Possibly the "Grenadier with a slight nose itch" and "Musketeer with a sudden queasy feeling" that are requirements of the "Palatinate Japes" ruleset ("Leopold edition").

:P

Still, only 30 days to the next release date!

<Dunno why I keep taking the Michael out of LoA, there's only 42 codes in the old + the new ranges.>
