The 'brass' brings back childhood memories of making brass-rubbings in a number of churches. (with permission, naturally !)
I can vaguely remember one absolutely beautiful example in a church in Cornwall (somewhere).....But it had been removed from the floor and put on the wall using HUGE, thick rivets, which made it impossible to make a nice copy.

Do any churches still allow this, or has this old 'hobby' been all but 'banned' nowadays ?
