Have the upper and lower detail piccies had the colour enhanced ?
They look much. much brighter than the 'whole thing'.

It is difficult to say whether the full size or the details are closer to the original.

Interesting that there's no indication of a stirrup on the end of the bow to make it easier to draw. Could be just the artist's interpretation, I suppose.  :-\

There is a triangular stirrup hanging at the end of each crossbow, rather than a rigid attachment.
