It is difficult to say whether the full size or the details are closer to the original.

Interesting that there's no indication of a stirrup on the end of the bow to make it easier to draw. Could be just the artist's interpretation, I suppose.

There is a triangular stirrup hanging at the end of each crossbow, rather than a rigid attachment.
