A little sadness in my life

I've got a grand plan. It involves lots of Pendraken stuff from just about all of their ranges. I was working backwards from WWII to ancients, and then they go and release the Falklands range and are threatening a Centurion which means Aussies in 'nam, so I may just have to go and revise Plan Gelb again.

Anyway, the master plan involves a budget and monthly purchasing. This is constantly ignored. I realised I was a Pz III down and ended up tacking on some goodies - just to assess them you understand. What I've ended up doing is making sure I always have an order on the books, so I can log in every day and feel that little tinge of excitement checking the status.

I had two orders outstanding, and I thought they wouldn't be despatched until around "Pendraken Ordering Day" which is my favourite day of the month (about a week away, coincides with "Company Pays Me Day"), but when I checked my orders this morning they have been despatched!

I can now either  a) spend a week fruitlessly order checking or b) bring forward Pendraken Ordering Day (again).

I'm not moaning about short delivery times (I had three "Pendraken Ordering Days" last month), but that long list of "Order Completed" statuses makes me a little sad.

Perhaps Leon could have a 'lucky dip' mail box/sack.
As the orders are packaged ....they could go in said box....But only a few get pulled out each day and put in the post.
This would add to the anticipation for the recipient as he or she would be wondering if his or her package had been one of the lucky ones to be pulled out that day.
A sort of Pendraken 'Lotto'. (Do I have to put in a TM symbol there ?)

This is obviously a clear case Lead Mountain Syndrome, which most of us suffer from. 

Recommended treatment is take a paint brush, pot of paint and some water (acrylics only) and take as many times a day as required. 

Very relaxing and good for the pocket.

If that fails, you can feel that you are in good company.

I brought forward Pendraken Ordering Day to today!

American Infantry to be thrown into the Kasserine Pass.  I have eschewed the heavily "armored" in favour of trucks and towed artillery.

This weekend I pitted my Pz I's and II's against French S35s. Bad news for Rommel when those Gallic beasts get going. Worse still, they got into the infantry beyond, with the horse drawn transport. Fortunately, I took delivery of a couple of FlaK 18's today to give the Germans a bit more balance.

Depends on your rules, French doctrine at the time well to be honest was pretty pants, tanks were spread out amongst the infantry to be used as mobile pillboxes. On the few occasions that they were let off the leash they went forward in penny packets and got slaughtered by sheer weight of numbers. German early war success had very little to do with the quality of equipment and much more to do with their ability to control all arms ar once.

Well put. The French used tanks as mobile artillery. They had superior armour and their their cavalry would have been much more successful if they had used it as such.

I've thought about doing some type of calendar actually, but of a more general theme with other traders on it, and all the major shows marked as well.
